Welcome to Centre CALiPSO !

The multidisciplinary team at Nantes University Hospital has developed a specialised unit to enhance the care of both rare and common diseases involving calcium regulation, ionic balance, parathyroid disorders, nephrolithiasis, and bone conditions. Nantes University Hospital is part of the OSCAR (phosphocalcic) and ORKiD (nephrogenetics) rare disease networks, offering specialised expertise in these areas.

Our experienced medical professionals include specialists in biochemistry, endocrine surgery, endocrinology, nephrology, paediatrics, rheumatology, and urology. Allied health professionals – such as dieticians, therapeutic education specialists, adapted physical activity instructors, and psychologists – collaborate closely to design personalised care pathways. The centre aims to educate patients on the causes and consequences of their conditions while empowering them to improve their health and quality of life.

The CALiPSO team remains dedicated to teaching, research, patient therapeutic education, and the training of healthcare professionals. We are also committed to make specialised care more accessible to support patients and their families.
